WS-CRDS for Monitoring Ambient Air Quality
An increasing number of industries are facing government regulations and verification inspections with regard to minimizing their pollutant output. A typical example is CAFO (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation) where wastewater and manure can produce gases such as methane, ammonia and hydrogen sulfide. WS-CRDS is ideal for these applications because it can be configured to analyze multiple species simultaneously, greatly simplifying and lowering the cost of the overall monitoring protocol. In the specific case of CAFO, Picarro supports this application with a six-species analyzer. Other standout WS-CRDS applications include monitoring ammonia and hydrogen sulfide from landfill and wastewater sites. In all these government-regulated applications, a major benefit of our WS-CRDS analyzers is their ability to directly transfer measurements from the lab to the field. Using the identical measurement platform to set a standard and test compliance removes potential ambiguity from the verification process.
